7 months agoPolly's Restaurant does not live up to the fine dining experience portrayed on the MCM Grand Hotel fundome website. During our visit, we encountered several cockroaches, which raised serious concerns about hygiene. Unfortunately, shortly after our meal, several family members fell ill, suggesting a potential foodborne illness linked to the food we consumed. The restaurant's food handling practices appeared inappropriate, and the overall cleanliness was alarmingly lacking. This experience was far from what we expected based on the hotel's descriptions.

9 months agoIt was an okay experience, the food was alright, and service was not horrible but it wasn't worderful. The whole experience was mediocre at best. Not really worth going back.

a year agoPaid 50 for two mediocre buffets. Then waited and waited and the Chile relleno tray never got filled and the menudo was nothing but hominy, not one lonenely forgotten piece of meet at the bottom of the pot.

a year agoI recently visited for the Mexican buffet, and overall, the experience was just average. The food was alright, with the asado being the standout dish, which surprised me. However, most of the food was lukewarm, and the flavors were just okay—nothing too exciting. The tres leches, which I was really looking forward to, was disappointing as it wasn’t cold and turned out to be dry. I would rate it 2.5 stars. Not bad, but not something I’d rush back to either. Overpriced for what it is.

4 years agoThe blackened catfish is my favorite dish so far. Nationwide is providing us a stay here at the Fun Dome while our home is undergoing repairs. The "Dine On Us" package is amazing. I have had the opportunity to try almost their entire menu. So far, without disappointment. Their bacon could use some improvement, but that's not enough to take it down a star. After 10 days and nearly 30 meals, I still look forward to the next one! *Edit* I wish I could add a star. Just discovered their menudo! It's some of the best I've had!

5 years agoStaying here during winter storm Uri. Staff is wonderful! They have been inundated with displaced victims of the electrical outages and frozen pipes the storm has caused and are gracious and accommodating. Pet friendly. We are even able to take our furr baby in the restaurant while we eat. Great experience.

8 years agoStayed Saturday night at the FunDome. My kids wanted to have the Sunday brunch before we left. We waited at the podium to be seated like every one else. We were seated and made our drink orders. Naturally my kids ran right to the desert table. Then Maria the waffle maker confronted my kids. I went right over there to let her know we had a table. She asked if we were seated from the podium and I told her yes. This was not good enough for Mrs Maria. She followed me to our table and asked who our waitress was. I gave her our ticket and this still did not satisfy her. She proceeded to track down our waitress. She still didn't believe we were paying customers. We were eye balled and harassed by Maria during our meal. She gave no one else the treatment she gave us. The rest of the hotel and restaurant staff were a delight during our stay, so kind and helpful. Brenda our waitress was wonderful.
